The mystery fruit Adoberry

Adoberry is the name that was coined for boysenberries, which are seldom grown in Japan, in a bid to develop them into a specialty product of the Adogawa region. The boysenberry has a short harvest period with relatively low yield, and consequently is rarely available on the fresh market.
So the Adoberry Production Council has developed a range of tempting boysenberry products. Currently there are more than 80 certified products including cookies, cakes, ice cream and other sweet treats as well as drinks such as Adoberry juice and vinegar. These are available at participating outlets and roadside stations in the city.
